What Mabat Viewer Was Facing
A London security operations company was managing CCTV feeds across multiple client sites using a combination of manufacturer-specific viewing software, shared VPN credentials, and manual incident logging in spreadsheets. Each camera manufacturer used a proprietary protocol, making unified monitoring impossible without switching between five different applications. Incident evidence retrieval required on-site visits and took hours — a significant liability for time-critical security responses.
The Solution
What We Built
We built a bespoke surveillance management platform with a unified video ingestion layer that normalised feeds from cameras using RTSP, ONVIF, and proprietary manufacturer protocols into a single interface. Operators could monitor all client sites from one dashboard, with intelligent motion event alerts, clip export for evidence packs, and role-based access that restricted individual operators to authorised site feeds. Incident reports were generated automatically from event logs with timestamped clip attachments.
