The Challenge
What Below The Crime Was Facing
London property professionals and legal practitioners needed structured crime intelligence at postcode and street level — data that existed in public sources but was fragmented across Police.uk APIs, council datasets, and Home Office statistical releases in incompatible formats. Generic data aggregation tools could pull the raw data but produced outputs with no spatial context, no trend analysis, and no interpretation relevant to property valuation or legal due diligence. Every meaningful report required manual work by an analyst who understood both the data and the London property market.
The Solution
What We Built
We built a bespoke crime analytics platform that ingested, normalised, and spatially enriched crime data from seven public sources on an automated schedule. The platform provided postcode-level crime profiles with trend analysis, peer-area comparison, and property-type context — all modelled around the questions that London property professionals and solicitors actually asked. Report generation was automated for common due diligence use cases, and a configurable alert system notified subscribers to material changes in their areas of interest.
